Happy Pride Month from Elegant Angel! June marks the anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, and is a celebration of the LGBTQ+ people in our lives. One of the wonderful things about working in adult is the opportunity to work alongside so many openly, authentically queer performers. Every year EA honors the top lesbian performers in porn with Lesbian Performers Of The Year. The annual series features a selection of the girl/girl nominees from that year’s awards season.
The Beginnings
The series began in 2016, and featured interviews between that year’s All-Girl Performer Of The Year nominees. Jayden Cole and Kenna James discuss how girl-girl scenes allow the performers to take their time with each other and get to know each other’s tics. It’s an insightful look into on-screen lesbian sexuality and chemistry.
Kenna and Jayden appear again in the most recent Lesbian Performers Of The Year 2022. They are joined by 2022 AVN Lesbian Performer of the Year Serene Siren, 2021 winner Charlotte Stokely, and the multi-nominated Aiden Ashley. Charlotte Sins, Sabina Rouge, and Gizelle Blanco round out the cast. Serene and Charlotte have a very flirty giggly conversation about how lesbian porn is “the best!” Charlotte declares “chicks on chicks on chicks.” They also discuss Serene’s joy at winning the top award that year.
The Future
Later this year, fans can look forward to the release of Lesbian Performers Of The Year 2023. 2023 XBIZ Girl/Girl Performer Of The Year Aiden Ashley will return, as will 2023 AVN Girl/Girl Specialty Performer of the Year Aidra Fox. Kira Noir, Serene Siren, Charlotte Sins, Kylie Rocket, Ana Foxxx, and Jill Kassidy will complete the cast. Director Pat Myne will bring his glam-gonzo directorial style to the table.
